Wind River

I'm a big fan of Jeremy Renner so I decided to watch his latest movie Wind River.  I love a good "who done it" and this movie gave me just that.  The scariest part about this movie is that it is based on actual events.  Native American women go missing in large numbers and there is currently no database to keep track.  The brutal temperatures in Wyoming, where the movie takes place, can cause a person to freeze to death just by breathing in the cold air. There is a young woman who is running in the snow, bare-foot, and later ends up dead.  When you find out what happened to her, you will be appalled and ready to kill the bad guy.  It is well worth watching.  Jeremy did an outstanding job and if you pay close attention you will see three actors that played in the Twilight trilogy.

God:  Would you like for me to say that I am testing to see how strong you are and how you manage to exude strength under such amazing odds? Or maybe I could say that I only give my strongest soldiers the tough jobs so everyone knows that you are my favorite.  All of this is true but the reality is this: Your immune system has attacked the myelin sheath that covers your nerves.  I have designed your body to be a magnificent work of art if fed the proper nutrients.  Partying all night, lack of proper nutrition and exercise, will soon cause your body to try and preserve itself.  There is only so much it can do with the processed food, that’s actually not food at all, and the lack of vitamins and minerals.  I created the earth and the ability for it to produce food for you to eat.  Yet you prefer something called McDonald’s.  I laced the grounds with beautiful fruits of red and purple and vegetables of green, yellow and gold.  But you preferred the Big Mac.  Your body is designed to function on food, real food, and if you decide to substitute that then the results are major health issues. 

Me:  So can I eat a chicken sandwich?

God: Bye Felicia

If your looking for something different, this is a great movie to watch. In a dystopian society, 7 siblings must hide and be one person in a world where you are only allowed to have one child. Siblings will be destroyed. It's amazing how the actress maintains the personality of seven different women.
